About

Everything we do is behavior. It’s a funny little universe we live in and how it affects everything we do in our daily lives. I’m passionate about examining all aspects of behavior. This blog is dedicated to looking at how our environments affect our behavior in both overt and inconspicuous ways. My hope is that stripping things down and getting to the bare bones will help our understanding of why we sometimes do the things we do.

I am a Specialist for Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports for a public school district and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. A former teacher in classrooms for students with emotional and behavior disorders (EBD), I now train teachers, support staff, and parents on implementing positive behavior strategies to promote social emotional wellness. My experiences have placed me in many different environments and has allowed me to work with a wide range of students and clients.

So kick off your shoes, sit back, relax, and enjoy some ramblings on all things behavior……..and some not!

  1. Dude, i have been wanting to say hi but the EO was never strong. Now I have moved onto the “waiting” period of the exam. I man up to reach out to you. As a wannabe runner, I admire you. As a fellow baseball fan, tell me some stats and hopefully one day we can talk ABA jargon on the green monster!

    • Why I’ve not responded to your post til now is beyond me. Congrats on passing the BCBA exam, you’re now a Jedi Master! Hopefully now that you’ve passed, you can spend more time on more leisurely activities! I’m slowly (and by no means steadily) studying up. Thanks for reaching out and creating the study group on FB, you’re helping a lot of people out, myself included!

      • Thank you thank you. I learned quite a few things from your blog and I will continue to follow it closely. And yes, I have been wanting to watch the Star Wars and Godfather for quite awhile and now I have time to do it! Thanks for checking in and let me know if there’s anything I can do, my barefoot friend!

    • Thanks Elizabeth! Hang in there, I’m not a good test taker either, and my confidence fluctuates constantly. Have you joined any of the study groups on Facebook? They seem to have a lot of good tips.
